Depression Therapy

Depression therapy in Mississauga & across Ontario

Depression can look like sadness, emptiness, irritability, exhaustion, numbness, shame, or the sense that you are moving through life without much connection to yourself. I offer virtual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents in Ontario who want a thoughtful space to understand low mood, restore capacity, and work with the experiences that may be weighing on them.

Support

What depression therapy can help with

Therapy can help make depression less isolating and more understandable.

Persistent low mood, emptiness, numbness, or hopelessness

Loss of motivation, withdrawal, fatigue, or difficulty starting tasks

Self-criticism, shame, guilt, or feeling like you are falling behind

Depression connected with grief, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, or relationship patterns

Life transitions, identity questions, burnout, or a loss of direction

Difficulty feeling pleasure, closeness, confidence, or emotional range

Approach

Understanding what depression is carrying

Depression is not only a checklist of symptoms. It often carries grief, anger, unmet needs, impossible expectations, old losses, or patterns of disconnection that deserve careful attention. Therapy can include practical support for daily functioning while also exploring the emotional and relational roots of what feels stuck.

Make space

Name feelings that may have been minimized, avoided, or held alone for a long time.

Support function

Build small, realistic structures that help with energy, routine, and connection.

Explore roots

Understand how history, relationships, grief, and self-criticism may shape low mood.

A good fit if you want more than quick reassurance

This work may be useful if you are tired of being told to simply think positively or push through. We can take depression seriously without reducing you to it.
