Adult ADHD Therapy

ADHD therapy support in Mississauga & across Ontario

ADHD can affect focus, emotions, relationships, routines, self-trust, and the way you understand your own history. I offer virtual psychotherapy for adults in Ontario who want support that goes beyond productivity tips and makes space for the deeper impact of ADHD.

How Therapy Can Help

Support for adult ADHD that includes the whole person

ADHD is not only a problem of attention. Many adults arrive after years of working harder than others to keep up, manage emotions, hide difficulties, or recover from burnout. Therapy can help you understand those patterns with more compassion while building practical ways to support daily life.

Understanding patterns of overwhelm, avoidance, urgency, and shutdown

Working with shame, self-criticism, and the feeling of always falling behind

Exploring relationships, boundaries, rejection sensitivity, and emotional intensity

Building practical supports for planning, transitions, routines, and follow-through

Making sense of late diagnosis, identity, and the impact of years spent masking

Connecting ADHD concerns with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions

Approach

Psychodynamic, relational, and practical

My work with ADHD concerns is grounded in psychodynamic and relational therapy, with trauma-informed pacing and practical CBT/DBT-informed skills when useful. We can look at what is happening now while also making sense of the experiences that shaped your self-image, coping style, and relationships.

Depth

Explore old stories about laziness, failure, intensity, or being too much.

Relationships

Understand conflict, rejection sensitivity, boundaries, and communication patterns.

Skills

Build supports for transitions, planning, emotional regulation, and follow-through.

Common Questions

ADHD therapy FAQ

Do you diagnose ADHD?
No. I provide psychotherapy and support for adults navigating ADHD-related concerns, including late diagnosis, emotional regulation, shame, relationships, anxiety, and practical coping. If you need a formal ADHD assessment or medication consultation, I can encourage you to speak with a physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
Is ADHD therapy only about productivity tools?
No. Practical supports can help, but therapy can also explore the emotional and relational impact of ADHD: self-criticism, overwhelm, masking, conflict, avoidance, burnout, and the meaning you have made of these experiences over time.
Can I attend virtually from outside Mississauga?
Yes. Sessions are virtual and available to adults located anywhere in Ontario.
